Beavers Scouts will be restarting on the 9th September at 6.00pm.
National Scout Shooting Tournament
The National Scount shooting tournament will take place on 16th -18th October, at Bisley.
Catvog Shooting Competition
The Catvog Shooting Competition will take place on the 27th September.
Patrol Leader training
Patrol Leader training will take place on the following dates: 25th -27th September.
Sticky: Beaver Scouts – farm visit

Hi All,
We resume after the Easter holidays with a visit to the farm in Ynysbwl weather permitting. Each young person will require a warm jacket and suitable foootwear.
We will leave the hall at 6pm and be back at the hall no later than 8pm. If the weather is wet we will be in the hall at the usual time.

St George’s Day Service / Fun day

This year for the first time the District will be holding a fun day prior to the service where all members of the movement will come together for the renewing their promises. This event is being held at the Rhondda Sports Centre in Ystrad and we would like every member of the Group to attend. Further details of the time will be provided nearer the time.
Lord Baden-Powell choose Saint George to be The Patron Saint of The Scout Association. He felt that the Saint George of legend set a good example of faith, courage and perseverance. St George’s day is kept on the 23rd April and our Districts will be holding our service on the 26th April.
Traditionally this has consisted of a parade followed by a service in a local church but this year we are holding the event in Ystrad Sports. The service will be a celebration of St George and family members are encouraged to attend the service.
